Doula

Being of service to the women in my community is such an honour; being asked to witness them as they bring forth new life to the Earth, and support them in their most sacred and tender moments. Birth & motherhood will break you wide open ~ and I can be there to guide and support you as you navigate this transformational time.

I provide support to women and their families during pregnancy and the sacred postnatal period. During pregnancy, this may look like emotional reassurance, educational resources, and physical comfort measures. I can assist with birth plan creation and healthcare navigation, and advice on birthing outside the system. Postnatally, I support your family's adjustment, offer breastfeeding and newborn care guidance, assist with postpartum recovery using handcrafted herbal products and nutritious meals tailored for recovery, and provide light household help. My role supports women in feeling empowered, promoting overall well-being through personalised, continuous care.

If you’re not local to me, I offer virtual support via zoom to support you as you navigate the healthcare system during your pregnancy.

I also offer Holistic Birth Debrief sessions. These can be in-person at your home, at the therapy cabin that I work from in Cae Lal, Bangor - or, again, if you’re not local to me, these can happen via zoom. These sessions are for women who have experienced a difficult or traumatic birth and would like to listening ear and someone to help you unpack what happened, to help you in moving forward.

{Please note; these birth debriefs are not counselling sessions, but a way for you to have your story heard and validated, with advice on what support that may be helpful for you going forward}.

Gegin Mama Lleuad ~ Mama Lleuad’s Kitchen

Gegin Mama Lleuad was brought into fruition from a real need to make sure the new mothers in our community are well-nourished in those weeks after giving birth. As societies have moved from communal living to more isolated, individualistic lifestyles, the communal support systems that once played a vital role in postpartum care have weakened. Additionally, the rise of medicalised childbirth and the emphasis on hospital-based care have overshadowed traditional practices and knowledge. This has led to a decline in the inter-generational transmission of these customs, resulting in a disconnect from the supportive practices that once ensured the well-being of new mothers within their communities.

But all is not lost; we can bring back the ways of the wise women and tend to our mothers. One simple way of doing this is through food! Nutrition is key in supporting postpartum recovery for the new mother, and my postnatal food boxes contain nutrient dense food with key ingredients that really support healing and replenish energy; teas that aid milk production and herbs that facilitate healing and recovery.

I also craft my own oils using herbs.

Pregnancy and Postnatal Massages

I offer customised pregnancy and postnatal massages that are tailored to address the unique needs and concerns of mothers at various stages of their journey. These massages help alleviate common discomforts such as back pain, swelling, and muscle tension, while also promoting relaxation and a sense of calm. Using gentle, safe techniques, my goal is to support your body's natural healing process and enhance your overall comfort and well-being.

Facials

My facials are designed to rejuvenate and revitalise your skin, taking into account the hormonal changes that can affect your complexion during and after pregnancy. I use natural, nourishing products that are safe for both mother and baby, ensuring that your skin receives the care it deserves.

Foot Massages

Foot massages are a soothing and effective way to relieve the strain and discomfort that often accompany pregnancy and the postpartum period. My foot massages focus on reducing swelling, improving circulation, and providing deep relaxation. This treatment not only pampers your feet but also promotes overall wellness and stress relief, helping you feel more grounded and balanced.
